Highland Park, Michigan crowd-funding project chooses solartonic

solartonic has been selected to supply high performance solarlume™ solar street light systems for the first phase of a solar street light project in Highland Park, Michigan. Soulardarity (www.soulardarity.com), a non-profit community organizing group, is managing the Shine-A-Light crowd-funding campaign which raised the funds to purchase solartonic’s systems and which seeks to eventually install community-owned off-grid solar street lights on all Highland Park streets. Highland Park is a small, urban city of 16,000 people which is geographically located within the City of Detroit. Most of the neighborhood streets have been in darkness since 2011 and the community is without approximately 1,400 street lights.  https://vimeo.com/194294055 solartonic is excited to be a part of the effort to light up Highland Park once again. We anticipate the first phase prototype poles will be installed in late 2020.
